A 'Brand New' J Type
This 1934 J2 has been largely engineered from scratch. My original objective was to make a totally new J type but as the project developed originality and registration became issues to contend with and so a number of 'factory' parts were incorporated into the build. (For instance although I had produced a totally new chassis, this was subsequently sold and swapped for an original one) Nevertheless to complete the project it was necessary for me to fabricate many parts for the car which were either unavailable, only available as poor quality reproductions, or could be produced more cost effectively than purchased second hand. Having tooled up to produce the individual parts needed for this project I found that there was a demand for these parts, many of which are now sold through Sports and Vintage Motors in Shrewsbury.
